I’ve never seen the country as divided as I do now. Even though it seems as if everyone is fighting for tolerance, I feel as if it’s making life in America all the more intolerable. We need to come together and realize that an individual’s actions should not reflect the character of an entire Union. It’s not helping the situation or reversing issues such as racism. If anything it’s creating more of it within both white and black communities.
Come on people. Stop, think, and listen to yourselves. Love one another and stop the hate. For the sake of our country and for what it’s suppose to stand for. No matter what. We are ALL Americans. And that my friends, is all that should matter. The country will change only if the people within it work together with the system we have, because let’s face it and be realistic. It won’t change overnight. We must work together and cooperate with one another. Think about it.
How many Americans sit by and do nothing? How many Americans don’t vote and then go on to complain about the policies being passed by lawmakers they idly sat by and watched get elected? We live in a DEMOCRACY where voices matter, yet so many don’t exercise that simple right. Especially when many of our ancestors fought and died for that right. It’s about time we put our voices to use and promote the greater good instead of tear down each other and our society. Even if we stand divided in our beliefs we are two sides of the same coin. Don’t fight each other. Fight the immorality that has corrupted the ideals that once made our proud nation the land of the free, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all people. End the corruption by not being corrupted.
We should not stand against oppression with violence and hate. Not on either side. That won’t solve our problems. A DEMOCRACY is a reflection of its people’s values and with all that is going on in our society, I don’t see a nation oppressed by its government or any civil union. In 2016, America has become a nation where it’s people prosecute and oppress their own people. Let’s not look to the past and look to the now. Because if we don’t wholeheartedly try to grasp the issues within the community itself, America will end as Rome did; as a democracy deteriorated from the inside out. Stand together Americans. Use your free voice to promote something positive. Stop pointing the finger and start cooperating with one another so that we as a nation can find the solutions to our problems here in the United States of America.
